National Reassurance Building

Sándor Hadi was born in 1931 in the Black Sea-region city of Kastamonu to Hungarian parents working as engineers in Turkey. He graduated from the Istanbul Technical University in 1961. Together with her wife, Sevinç Hadi they have designed several iconic building, such as the Central library of the Istanbul University, which was demolished.

One of the biggest libraries of the Boğaziçi University, the Aptullah Kuran Kütüphanesi was designed by also them. It was opened in 1984 and was demolished recently. Aside from the library at the shores of the Bosphorus, his other famous building is the National Reassurance Building / Milli Reasürans Kompleksi in Teşvikiye district, which was finished in 1992. Sándor Hadi passed away at a young age in 1986 in Istanbul. His two children, Tülin and Imre, live in Istanbul.
